Found in Ambon Island, Sulawesi, Papua and New Guinea and Indonesia in low elevation, shady, humid forests with year round rainfall at elevations around 80 meters as a small sized, hot growing, epiphytic species from with to 4, elliptic to oblong-elliptic or oblanceolate leaves that blooms in the late winter and early spring on a lateral, arching, 18″ [45 cm] long, racemose or paniculate many flowered inflorescence with small bracts carrying long-lasting, musk scented flowers.
