Found in Malaysia, Sumatra and the Philippines in swamp forests at elevations around 1000 to 1500 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte. with concave sides pseudobulbs and carrying a single, apical, lanceolate, narrowing into the very short petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer.

This species should be grown in a pot or basket with fast draining medium and partial shade.
