Bulbophyllum plumatum ‘red’
Found in Malaysia, Sumatra and the Philippines in swamp forests at elevations around 1000 to 1500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with .8 to 1.2″ [2 to 3 cm] between each, obliquely ovoid, quadrangular with concave sides pseudobulbs and carrying a single, apical, lanceolate, narrowing into the very short petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer on an ascending, slender, terete, 4″ [10 cm] long, apically thicker, 4 flowered, umbelliform inflorescence that is held at the leaf height.
This species should be grown in a pot or basket with fast draining medium and partial shade.
