Phalaenopsis hieroglyphica f. flava is the yellow, pigment‑reduced form of hieroglyphica, but current taxonomy treats it as a synonym rather than a formally accepted variety. It still circulates widely in cultivation, and growers use flava to describe plants with yellow‑green flowers and faint or absent “glyph” markings.
