Phalaenopsis pantherine (MC)

Is a species of orchid commonly known as the panther-like phalaenopsis, a name that refers to the spotted markings on its flowers.

It is endemic to Borneo (Indonesia and Sarawak) and also found in Sumatra and the island of Labuan.

It grows as an epiphyte on trees and rocks in a lowland to mixed montane forests. From sea level up to around 800 meters in elevation. It prefers warm, humid conditions.
