Rhynchostylis gigantea is a highly fragrant, warm‑growing foxtail orchid prized for its dense, pendulous flower spikes and huge range of colour forms. It thrives beautifully in tropical climate, making it one of the easiest “collector‑tier” vandaceous orchids you can grow.
Rhynchostylis gigantea is a monopodial, epiphytic orchid native to Southeast Asia including Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Borneo, Hainan, and the Philippines.
Produces 3–4 pendulous inflorescences, each densely packed with up to 50 waxy, fragrant flowers.
Known for its spicy, sweet fragrance, especially strong in warm weather.
Blooms mainly late winter to early spring.
