Dendrobium Champagne
$35.00
Dendrobium Champagne is a classic Spatulata‑type Dendrobium hybrid registered in 1951 by the Singapore Botanic Gardens. It is a primary hybrid between two species: Dendrobium discolor × Dendrobium mirbelianum. This gives it the tall, twisting, flamboyant look typical of antelope Dendrobiums, along with excellent heat tolerance and strong, reliable blooming. Warm yellow to golden‑brown petals with brown or mahogany markings.
Many clones show twisted or spiralled petals, a hallmark of Spatulata types.
The lip is usually white to cream with purple or brown accents.
Colour intensity varies depending on which parent dominates.
Strongly twisted petals from D. discolor.
Long, upright inflorescences carrying 10–25 flowers. Generally light to none, though some clones may have a faint sweetness.
